Great, friendly and relaxed service .... recommended

First time using McHugh Concrete and I was impressed with everything end to end.

I was having some steels + pillars installed to move around some internal walls, and I'd gone out to 4 different companies for a quote to have 4m3 inc waterproof additive pumped into some pad footings.

Being a first time home renovator I had a lot of questions but Paul was polite, patient and incredibly helpful from the outset. He explained everything in plain English without being condescending, and was the reason we ended up booking McHugh as the other quotes we got back were all pretty much the same.

The 2 Lukes who turned up (perfectly on time) to mix and pump the concrete were also super friendly, and they tidied up everything so well afterwards it was like they'd never been there...

Will absolutely use them again - 100% recommend!

Excellent first class company. Paul@Southwick was super helpful on the phone and always called back to check everything was OK. Deliveries bang on time and the drivers were patient and helpful whilst we raked in 13 cu.m of C30. Invoicing and payment process was no fuss too. I would highly recommend the McHugh concrete.

I have been in the construction industry for over 60 years this was the first time I used McHugh. , the service and delivery was second to none the operators on the mixer and the pump were first class and couldn't have been more helpful if they tried, the whole experience was a breath of fresh air no hiccups no worries, I would not hesitate to recommend this company to everyone who needs concrete and an excellent service and best of all at a very affordable price. Fantastic job this morning, 2 cubic metres of concrete pumped into back garden for shed base. Great service by the 2 guys operating the equipment (both called Luke) who also assisted with making sure everything was level. Cleaned down afterwards and you couldn’t tell they had even been there!

I have just had a great experience with this firm who delivered a first class service and I would highly recommend. I had ordered 1.6m of concrete that needed pumping to the bottom of my garden.
They turned up on site when they said they would and the drivers of both mixer and pump were very professional and courteous and finished within two hours, leaving the site very clean and tidy.

Had a concrete with pump delivery on Friday. First class. Operatives were friendly and extremely competent. After their delivery they left the place spotless.

Called to get an estimate, the lines were busy but the automated messaging said that the company had my number and a representative would call back which they did within half an hour. Rob and Jackie whom I dealt with were very helpful and professional. The concrete prices and pump hire were very reasonable. The day of delivery the truck and pump turned up on time and the operators were very efficient, helpful and professional. Excellent all round service and McHugh’s will definitely be coming back for phase 2.

McHugh Concrete provided an amazing level of support for a domestic garden project with some access issues (distance from public road). The office-based support was excellent with clear descriptions of the capabilities of the delivery fleet and what I needed to do. The quotes were very clear and very competitive. On the day, the delivery team were superb, on time, friendly and with a professional work ethic that not only got the job done but provided a novice DIYer with additional advice and comments for the project based on their experience. Great office, lovely people

Recently used McHugh for concrete pumped foundations at my property. Of the three companies I received quotes from McHugh was both the most professional and cheapest. I received a written quote in good time that was clear and well presented. Being a DIY project I had a few questions through my lack of experience. My phone calls into the office were answered immediately and all questions answered. Leading up to the pour I was kept well informed and provided with documentation as to what was required from me. Pump operators Tom and Marcus arrived in good time and couldn’t have been more helpful. Both were very knowledgeable and experienced, even giving me some tips for the next stage of my project. Unfortunately I didn’t catch the office staff and truck driver’s names but all involved ensured a seamless operation from start to finish. Will definitely be calling them back when it’s time to pour the slab!

We have used many different companies in the past and to be honest not all of them had have been as straight forward to work with as this guys. Absolutely brilliant can not fault them from the price to agonising the ground pump. Fab service all round. I don’t think five stars is good enough. After that poring rain yet they went a head with the job and got it done with out complaining once. Amazing service, We didn’t have to make up an excuse for my clients at all. We got the job done. Having called every concrete supplier in Sussex McHugh Concrete were not only the cheapest in terms of the concrete and in terms of the ground pump system, but they were the most personable and helpful firm to deal with. The day before delivery the pump driver made a site visit to fully understand the job and ensure we knew what to expect. They arrived early on the day of delivery and worked tirelessly to get the job done and cleaned up in good time. Buy with confidence.
